About Watermelon

Watermelon is a large, round or oval fruit that belongs to the Citrullus lanatus species and is native to Africa. It has a thick green rind, often with striped patterns, and a juicy interior that is typically red or pink with black seeds, though seedless varieties also exist. Watermelons grow on trailing vines and thrive in warm climates with plenty of sunlight. The fruit has a high water content, which contributes to its crisp and refreshing texture. Watermelons are usually harvested in the summer when fully ripe and have been cultivated for thousands of years in various parts of the world.
