About Plum

Plums are smooth-skinned stone fruits that belong to the genus Prunus, the same family as peaches, cherries, and apricots. They come in a variety of colors, including red, purple, yellow, and green, depending on the type. Plums have a juicy flesh that surrounds a single hard pit in the center. They are believed to have originated in regions of Europe and Asia and have been cultivated for thousands of years.
