Grape
Our customers use grapes because of their natural sweetness, versatility, and strong consumer appeal across a wide range of products. Grapes are commonly processed into juices, concentrates, raisins (dried grapes), and extracts, making them useful in beverages, snacks, baked goods, and confectionery. Their high natural sugar content allows manufacturers to enhance flavor while reducing the need for added sugars. Grapes are also rich in antioxidants, such as resveratrol, which supports heart health and wellness-related marketing claims. Additionally, their mild, familiar flavor blends easily with other ingredients, and their availability in shelf-stable forms makes them ideal for large-scale production and consistent product formulation.

Global Sourcing Through the Brothers International Network:
Supplying industrial volumes of grape juice concentrate, NFC juice, and puree requires a massive, multi-continental agricultural footprint. Grape harvests are highly sensitive to spring frosts, extreme summer heat, and untimely harvest rains that can dilute Brix levels or cause crop spoilage. Brothers International mitigates these risks by connecting North American food manufacturers to the world’s most productive viticulture belts through our audited supplier network. We source high-grade grape ingredients from premier global origins:
-
North America (United States): The Pacific Northwest (Washington State), California’s Central Valley, and the Great Lakes region (New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan) serve as the domestic heartland for premium Concord and Niagara NFC juices, purees, and specialized concentrates.
-
South America (Argentina & Chile): Powerhouses in global grape processing, providing massive counter-seasonal volumes of high-quality White and Red Grape Juice Concentrates, ensuring supply stability during the Northern Hemisphere’s winter and spring.
-
Europe (Spain & Italy): Spain, particularly the La Mancha region, is the world’s leading producer of Airén grapes, making it a critical hub for high-yield, cost-effective Clarified White Grape Juice Concentrate used in bulk sweetening applications.
By coordinating supply chains across North America, South America, and Europe, Brothers International insulates your production lines from regional harvest failures, ocean freight bottlenecks, and currency-driven price volatility.
Harvest Cycles & Continuous Supply Management:
Grape harvests are strictly seasonal and follow the viticulture calendar of their respective hemispheres. In the Northern Hemisphere (USA, Spain, Italy), the harvest known as the “crush” runs from late August through October. In the Southern Hemisphere (Argentina, Chile), the crush occurs from February through April.
Managing these massive counter-seasonal processing windows and coordinating bulk international transport is a core strength of Brothers International. Our operations and logistics teams oversee multi-quarter inventory allocations, cold-chain maritime freight, USDA/FDA import clearances, C-TPAT supply chain security, and strategic bulk warehousing across North America. Whether your bottling line requires bulk liquid tankers of 68° Brix Clarified White Grape Concentrate, drums of Concord Grape Puree, or aseptic totes of NFC juice, our network guarantees ready inventory year-round.
Rigorous Quality Control, Traceability & Compliance:
Processing commercial grape juice requires advanced technical intervention, most notably “cold stabilization.” Because grapes are uniquely high in tartaric acid, raw juice must be chilled to near-freezing temperatures to force tartrate crystals (often called “wine diamonds”) to precipitate out of the liquid. If this step is skipped, the crystals will form in the manufacturer’s finished beverage, creating an unacceptable gritty texture.
Every supplier within the Brothers International network undergoes a comprehensive auditing process to guarantee complete supply chain traceability, sustainable viticulture practices, and strict adherence to USDA, FDA, and international food safety standards. We deliver grape ingredients backed by complete technical documentation and top-tier industry certifications, including GFSI benchmarks (BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000), USDA Organic (NOP), Kosher, Non-GMO, and Halal standards. Our quality assurance protocols include rigorous testing for pesticide residues, heavy metals, microbial safety, color absorbance, tartrate stability, and Brix adherence under FDA 21 CFR § 101.30.
